Rainbow Cruise: the next chapter – A future of unity

Hamburg, 3 February 2026. TUI Cruises is once again showing its colours: with the relaunch of the Rainbow Cruise, the Hamburg-based cruise operator is underlining its clear and visible commitment to an open, colourful and tolerant world. Following the first Rainbow Cruise in 2017 and the three “Bunte Horizonte” themed cruises, TUI Cruises is opening a new chapter and welcoming the LGBTQIA+ community and their allies on the five-day themed cruise “Rainbow Cruise: the next chapter – A future of unity“ from 28 September to 3 October 2027 on board Mein Schiff 2. “A future of unity” represents the clear commitment of TUI Cruises to diversity, openness and respect. Cruise enthusiasts and anyone hoping to become one can look forward to a five-day cruise from/to Palma de Mallorca. During the cruise experience, Mein Schiff 2 will be transformed into a colourful, feel-good ship; in the evenings, changing mottos and parties turn the night into day – while, during the day, guests can look forward to a varied programme of entertainment, talks, sport and community activities. Alongside a multifaceted line-up of events, the itinerary includes stops in Palermo (Sicily) and Cagliari (Sardinia). Two relaxing days at sea also offer the perfect opportunity to enjoy the amenities of Mein Schiff 2 to the full.

A colourful array of talent and famous LGBTQIA+ personalities on board

A fantastic live concert by Conchita Wurst awaits guests as the headline act. In 2014, Tom Neuwirth won the Eurovision Song Contest as the bearded diva with his catchy hit “Rise Like a Phoenix” and instantly became an international figurehead for the LGBTQIA+ community. No Angels band member Lucy Diakovska will also treat guests to a live concert on the feel-good cruise. DJane Miss Thunderpussy (LOUT), who has been in her element since 1988, will create a rousing party atmosphere. And the iconic Berlin party series “PiepShow” will get the whole ship rocking on an unforgettable night of partying.

Other artists on the Rainbow Cruise include DJane Katy Bähm. Known from Queen of Drags, the drag queen will be turning up the party vibes on Mein Schiff 2 along with her husband, DJ Francis. The charming Schlager singer Daniel Johnson will take to the stage twice. In addition, DSDS contestant Linda Teodosiu and her partner DJane Xandra will host several musical performances and invite guests to join them for their live podcast BLOND XL.

Queer, colourful and full of variety on Mein Schiff 2

Pam Pengco – comedian, drag queen, singer, presenter and quizmaster – will be hosting the Rainbow Cruise and delighting guests with her show programme and entertaining commentary. RTL presenters Kena Amoa and David Modjarad will be presenting their programme RTL Exclusiv an Bord, bringing stories from the worlds of stars and starlets out to sea. Drag queen and internet personality Miss Ivanka T. will captivate the community with a varied and unique programme, while the Piano Buddies are set to provide top-class entertainment with their musical comedy. In the evening, Alex and Markus from the popular podcast schwarz & eng provide the perfect end to the day; in a live podcast and interactive discussion, they talk openly, honestly and with humour about gay issues, fetishes and life in the community.

Those interested in sport can take part in a class and a talk by Lucas Krzikalla, the first openly gay active professional athlete. Fitness coach Alexander Dennebaum also offers high-energy daily workouts on the feel-good ship.

The cruise will be accompanied by well-known queer bloggers and influencers, including the couple Domenic and Jonathan Osterroth, the Nomadic Boys, Karl and Daan from Couple of Men as well as Chris from blondhair.dontcare, all of whom will share insights into their everyday queer lives, travel and lifestyles.
