The Crew Mass Arrival marks the start of a new phase on the road to the commissioning of the Mein Schiff Flow. Last weekend, the first crew members moved into their cabins and have been preparing the ship for its first guests ever since.

With every new building, there is a special moment: the moment when an impressive steel structure becomes a living space. That very moment has now arrived on the Mein Schiff Flow. As the buses roll into the shipyard in Monfalcone and the first crew members catch sight of their new ship, the excitement is palpable. Helmets, tools and the atmosphere of a building site still characterise everyday life. But, little by little, life is returning to the ship. "Until now, the ship was so empty, and now our family is arriving. It’s all coming to life now, and that’s the beauty of it," says Pascal Tischler, Cruise Director of the Mein Schiff Flow.

With every new crew member, the future guest services on board the new vessel are taking shape. Before long, the international crew, representing 40 nations, will be welcoming the first guests on board and ensuring an unforgettable holiday experience with their passion, warmth and personalised service. For Conrad Buchholz, staff captain of the Mein Schiff Flow, this moment is one of the special milestones in the construction of a new ship: “These are the sort of moments we always look forward to at the shipyard, because we don’t just build a cruise ship for the guests, but for the crew as well. For the crew, the ship is a home – and that home is now almost ready."

The Mein Schiff Flow, the second ship in the InTUItion class, embodies a sense of light-heartedness, well-being and special holiday moments at sea. Over the coming weeks, the final preparations on board will be in full swing. Training sessions and procedures are being prepared, and every detail is being finalised for the first guests.
